Extracurricular Activities

The goal of AI club is to help students learn more about AI and explore its unlimited possibilities. The club aims to provide a platform where student can grow their knowledge through knowledge sharing and apply it to build innovative projects that can help the community. Our mission is to make AI more accessible to students and help them understood the basics of AI.

The Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) student union  is an organization  aimed at increasing awareness of Asian American culture and issues with a focus on connecting and promoting tolerance. The club would also serve as an opportunity for students to get connected to other AAPI students. Additionally, we aim to promote volunteering within the community. Anyone is more than welcome to join regardless of background.

The goal of this club is to study the four books of the Gospel in great detail. These books will allow people to learn more about the life of Jesus. We will accomplish this through careful scripture study, but we will also focus on collaborative discussion between club members. Everyone is welcome!

The goal of comic book club is to learn about comics. A presentation is shown every meeting. It details new comics coming out and what they are about along with an artist of the week. We also read and discuss comics.

The goal of this club is to teach people how to crochet and give back to the community. They will be teaching students how to crochet. Then they will use those skills to make different projects, like scarves, to donate to different foundations.

Cultural exploration club serves as a club to explore and engage in other cultures. Activities could include food, slideshows, and other activities such as origami. Students contribute and learn creating more awareness for other cultures.

The purpose of this club is to bring those who are into cars and those who are into model cars together. We want to host diecast car shows where you bring in something you like and show it off to others. We also want to trade cars.

Our goal is to make a fun and creative space where students can play dungeons and dragons with their peers. We use our club to create more interest in D&D for new players and provide an opportunity for experienced players to guide others through new creative campaigns. Our club also helps students with creative narration and story telling.

FCA focuses on serving local communities and IHS by equipping, empowering, and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ. The goal of FCA is to see our school impacted for Jesus Christ through the influences of coaches, athletes, and all students.

Geoguessr is an educational game for geography. The Geoguessr, you are dropped somewhere on earth and your goal is to find out where you are. The purpose of this club is to learn geography and have fun.

The Hispanic Student Union is a safe place for all people who want to learn about Hispanic culture from peers of Hispanic dissent, while also making friends and having fun.

The purpose of the horse club is to allow students to learn and explore the love of horsemanship. It provides a safe learning environment that allows talents to care and ride horses.

The goal of this club is to help people get involved in their local community. It will be a great way for students to earn community service hours while taking pride in their school. We want to better our school by making it a cleaner and friendlier place to be.

The purpose of this club is to learn about the flora and fauna of Tennessee and bring awareness to the environment. We have nature themed activities and events planned throughout the year. The club can also serve as a get away from school and be relaxing and calm place for students to unwind.

Pasta for a Purpose is dedicated to bringing comfort and nourishment to our community by preparing and delivering homemade lasagna to families in need. Our goal is to foster a spirit of kindness and generosity among student while supporting the mission of Lasagna Love. Through this club, we aim to make a positive impact locally by addressing food insecurity and spreading love, one lasagna at a time.

The Physics club will aim to help clarify topics taught in the physics curriculum found in our school. Additionally, it will be an area where students can discuss and express thoughts on physics related topics. The club will also help maximize this school's STEM capabilities.

The goal of this club is to breakdown and understand complicated grammar rules. We will prepare for the ACT and SAT by learning common grammar rules used on these exams. We will also learn valuable tools and techniques to better prepare for future assessments.

This student-led ACT prep club aims to build confidence and improve ACT scores for our peers through student-led tutoring. The student leaders, who have all scored between 34-36 on the ACT, will provide feedback and suggestions to help their peers excel on the ACT. Along with personalized help, the student leadership provide resources and practice for students, with the goal to optimize test taking strategies and possible higher ACT scores.
